Näituse ”Ma elan Tallinnas” ava-performance toimus 2. oktoober kell 18:00 galleriis Garage49 (Tööstuse 52c).

Avalikust ruumist on saanud düstoopiline vaheruum, mida kasutame ainult ühest punktist teise jõudmiseks. Loome Kusntiryhmitusega vastukaaluks utoopia, kus avalik ruum on saanud meie kõigi koduks – ühisruumiks.
Lihtne on näha avalikku ruumi vaid transiitkoridorina, mille eesmärk on viia meid ühest sihtkohast teise. Inimesed eralduvad üksteisest, pagedes nelja seina vahele ning vaid kindlat tüüpi inimestele suunatud monofunktsionaalsete keskkondade tõttu kiireneb ka sotsiaalne kihistumine.
Asudes üha enam tegutsema linnaruumis samamoodi nagu oma kodus, ning lõpetades privaatse ja avaliku polariseerimise, muutub linn pelgalt transiitruumist ühisruumiks. Lause “Ma elan Tallinnas,” tähendus muutub üksikust privaatsest ühikust kogu linna hõlmavaks.
Termini muutus avalikust ühisruumiks muudab ka seda, kuidas sellest keskkonnast mõeldakse. Ühine ehk kõigile kuuluv tähendab, et kõigil on õigus sellele ruumile, olenemata nende sissetulekust või sotsiaalsest staatusest. Samas tähendab see, et kõigil on teatud vastutus luua selline ruum, mida ta ise kasutada tahaks ja koduks kutsuda saaks.
Nii kujuneb linnaruum sealsetele kogukondadele iseloomulikuks ja ka nende vajadusi arvestavaks. Selle tulemusel ei jää Tallinn enam selle elanike silmis vaid transiitkoridoriks või ehitusplatsiks.

Kunstirühmitus Kunstiryhmitus toob oma igapäevased tegevused nelja seina vahelt ühisruumi, et see taas omaks võtta.
Suvel läbi viidud aktsiooniseeria tõi tänavale erinevad kodused tegevused, alates pesupesemisest kuni õhtusöögini - kokku 48 tegevust. Performance'ite finaalina toimiv pikalauaõhtusöök “Viimne õhtusöömaaeg”, mis võimaldas kõigil huvilistel Vabaduse väljakul koos kunstnikega õhtustada, märkis lavalt maha astumise momenti ning linnaruumi kui kodu üleandmist ka kõigile teistele.
Kunstirühmitus Kunstiryhmitus on performance-kunstile pühendunud grupp noori kunstnikke.
Performance’i väljundi abil tegeletakse neid igapäevaselt ümbritseva keskkonna ja linnaruumiga.

Public space has become a dystopian in-between space that we use only to get from one point to another. In response, the art collective Kunstiryhmitus creates a utopia where public space becomes a home for everyone – a shared space.
Public space has become a dystopian in-between space that we use only to get from one point to another. In response, the art collective Kunstiryhmitus creates a utopia where public space becomes a home for everyone – a shared space.
It’s easy to see public space merely as a transit corridor designed to take us from one destination to another. People isolate themselves within four walls, and due to mono-functional environments intended for specific types of people, social stratification accelerates.
By increasingly acting in urban space as we would in our own homes and ceasing to polarize private and public spaces, the city transforms from merely a transit space into a shared space. The meaning of the phrase "I live in Tallinn" shifts from referring to a solitary private unit to encompassing the entire city.
Changing the term from public space to shared space also changes how we think about this environment. A shared space, belonging to everyone, means that everyone has a right to it, regardless of their income or social status. At the same time, it implies that everyone has a certain responsibility to create a space they would want to use and call home.
Thus, the urban space becomes characteristic of the communities living there and considers their needs. As a result, Tallinn no longer remains just a transit corridor or a construction site in the eyes of its inhabitants.

The art collective Kunstiryhmitus brings their everyday activities from within four walls into the shared space to reclaim it.
The art collective Kunstiryhmitus brings their everyday activities from within four walls into the shared space to reclaim it.
A series of actions conducted over the summer brought various domestic activities to the streets, from laundry to dinner – 48 activities in total. The final performance, a long-table dinner titled “The Last Supper,” allowed all interested parties to dine together with the artists at Freedom Square, marking a moment of stepping off the stage and handing over the urban space as a home to everyone.
Kunstiryhmitus is a collective of young artists dedicated to performance art.
Through performance, they engage with the environment and urban space that surrounds them daily.
